Inspirations

Our inspirations for the making of our crime drama were shows such as

• “The wire” - This was because there representation of gangs and crimes was realistic and it gives the audience a feel of escapism as we may not see these things happening in every day life. However some people in gangs can relate to this and it may teach them a moral of not getting involved in gangs as there are really bad consequences. We would also like there to be a moral to our story that gangs are not the way to achieve in life.
  

• “Prime suspect” - Helen Mirren was their dominant female who resolved cases. We would also like to portray the idea of a female dominant role by using a female cop to catch the criminal at his lowest point.

• "The Shield" - This also inspired us as their fast pace opening sequence gives the audience an adrenaline rush, which creates energy and the audience begins to be curios of what is going to happen next. We would also like to create this feeling.
